NYC Game of Thrones Exhibition lets you sit on the Iron Throne

Normally, I try not to cover the same topic two days in a row for fear of alienating disinterested readers... but, this was cool enough to make an exception!

From now until Wednesday, April 3rd, HBO's travelling Game of Thrones Exhibition will be open to the public in New York City.  Best of all, it's completely, 100% free.

The Exhibition features over 70 original props and prop replicas from the first two seasons of the stratospherically successful show along with some teaser "artifacts" from the third season.

You can be forgiven for thinking that this sounds overly much like Harry Potter: The Exhibition in Times Square, but there are a couple of key differences.  First, it's 100% free (Harry Potter costs you close to $30/ticket), second it's only in New York for the next five days.

Finally, and most significantly, the Exhibition will allow you to take pictures on a prop replica of the Iron Throne... which is the closest most of us will ever come to the experience unless we drop $30,000 on our own or decorate our toilets in the style of King's Landing.

The Exhibition is located just north of Rockefeller Center at 3 W. 57th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenue), and is open weekdays from 10am - 8pm, weekends from 11am to 7pm, and Easter Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

If you miss the Exhibition in New York, you can always catch it at its next stops: São Paulo, Amsterdam, and Belfast.
