Magitek Armor comes to FFXIV, makes me want an HD remake of FFVI all over again

One of the greatest things about the upcoming reboot of Final Fantasy XIV is how much care Square Enix is taking to include references and homages to previous Final Fantasy titles in its ongoing resurrection.

Whether it's the expected job-specific equipment from Final Fantasy I or the Crystal Tower from Final Fantasy III, there will be plenty of callbacks to earlier games from the franchise for fans to look forward to.  One such callback, the long-teased implementation of Final Fantasy VI's Magitek armor, looks like it's about to find its way to the beta if the teaser video below is anything to go off of.

From the opening strains of Terra's Theme, you know it's going to be awesome but seeing a faithful, HD representation of Final Fantasy VI's opening is something that ranks alongside my wedding day and the day we adopted our dog as one of the happiest moments of my life (for sake of my wife and dog, I'll refrain from placing those three events in any sort of order).

I suppose seeing the Magitek mounts in action is pretty cool even if you've never played FFVI.  Although, I can't imagine anyone who would want to use a chocobo over these.

Bonus points (and a yearly subscription fee) to SE if the Magitek Armor actually plays Terra's Theme instead of the Chocobo Theme as its background music.
