Object of geek desire: custom printed Game of Thrones lego figures

At some point in the past 10 years, Legos became a thing.

Once the toy of choice for aspiring geeks in their childhood, Legos went through a renaissance of sorts as baby geeks matured into adult geeks with disposable income.  This transition meant that traditional Lego playsets were no longer cool enough for the choosy consumer, and custom creations soon began popping up on entertainment centers and cubicle walls across the nation.

This week's object of geek desire is an offshoot of this renaissance movement, and brings the cast of Game of Thrones to life... in Lego form!

The "Throne of Bricks" is the work of Etsy crafter Albert Hernandi and will set you back $75.00 if you pre-order now.

For that not-inconsiderable sum of money, you'll receive a full set of four of the most popular characters from George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series... and Arya Stark / Underfoot for good measure.  Jon Snow is present as The Bastard, Ned Stark rolls in as Warden of the North, and you should probably be able to figure out who The Imp and The Mother of Dragons refer to.

Each set of figures uses custom-drawn printing jobs, but the characters will be fully compatible with normal, retail Lego sets.

$75.00 for a set of five Lego figures might seem like a bit much, but it'd be totally worth it to have Lego Boromir square off against Lego Ned Stark in a battle for Sean Bean supremacy!
