Plastered on the official Hogwarts coat of arms is the vulgate Latin phrase, "Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" which translates roughly to "Let sleeping dragons lie".
This is obvious advice for most anyone who's dabbled in roleplaying games, because sleeping dragons are coiled leviathans of rage and hellfire just waiting for an excuse to vent their hatred on whosoever disturbs its slumber.
Also, sleeping dragons are pretty freakin' adorable as it turns out.
Above is this week's object of geek desire, the Sleeping Dragon Dice Sculpture by the amazingly talented artist DragonsAndBeasties. The super-cute sculpture is made of hand molded and baked Sculpey clay, so you shouldn't expect they to give up their d20 pillows any time soon. They do have interlocking horns and tails, however, so there's that.
You can get a good idea of what DragonsAndBeasties can do her Deviant Art page, which also gives an idea of the pricing for a sculpture like this (~$140-$200, although a single dragon can cost as low as $55).
Unfortunately, the artist responsible for the sculptures is no longer taking commissions and her Etsy shop is looking pretty empty at the moment - so you might have some trouble getting your hands on one of these in time for Christmas.
Still, you can always try contacting her - but don't ask if she'll sculpt you a Toothless. She's kinda done with that.
