Viz Media is ready to drop its entire digital manga library onto your Kindle

Easily, of the most prohibitive aspects of starting a manga collection is finding enough space on your bookshelves - and room in your budget - for the coming onslaught of books.

An easy, 12-volume or so manga is a breeze to fit on top of your desk, but for a long running series like Bleach - which boasts over 60 installments to date - you'd almost need an entire wing of your house devoted to housing the manga in its entirety.

Or, you could just do what the cool kids are doing and load them onto your Kindle.

Viz Media recently struck a deal with Amazon that will bring its entire catalog of digital manga to the Amazon Kindle Store.  While this collection has (obviously) been online for awhile now, it's good news to Kindle owners who've been eager to dabble in the world of manga.

While not all of Viz Media's ridiculously extensive collection of titles is represented, heavy hitters like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Rosario + Vampire, Death Note, and others are all in the mix for about $5.59 an issue/volume.

In addition to being half as expensive as the physical copies, these digital manga will never wear, tear, or dog-ear, which makes them a great choice for the most fastidious otaku out there.  Better still, you'll never have to worry about loaning a book out to a friend and worrying where it got off to.

It would have been smashing of Viz or Amazon to offer some sort of subscription deal to Amazon customers, but at least they're planning to release updates to the print and digital copies simultaneously.

So what are you waiting for?  Grab your Kindle and start downloading, fanboys and fangirls!
