Object of geek desire: adorable moogle dress

Outside of giant, glowing crystals and chocobos, few things are as readily associated with Final Fantasy quite like Moogles are.

Part-bat, part-bear, and all adorable, this kupo-rific race of improbable humanoids became the unofficial mascot of the franchise shortly after their debut in Final Fantasy III and fans have come to love them for their helpful natures and silly personalities.

It also doesn't hurt that they make for a pretty easy cosplay option, assuming you have this week's Object of Geek Desire handy...

Created by intrepid Etsy artist Lemonbrat, self-described make of cute things, this adorable Moogle Dress is sure to be a head-turner at the local con or coffeeshop.

Handmade from fleece, this winged hoodie has everything you'd expect or want from a Moogle outfit including vestigial wings and adorable ears.  Better yet, it's topped with an icon red pom-pom that might even manage to out-cute the toddler-sized Luigi hoodie.

The stock Moogle Dress is sleeveless and will set you back $89.99 (+$10.50 in shipping), but you can add short sleeves for $10, long sleeves for $21, or long, gloved sleeves for $26.00 making it as versatile as it is awesome.

There are better options to hide your nudity with, or so I'm told, but this dress definitely wins points for style.
