These Star Wars action figure photographs are adorable, heartbreakingly poignant

Many think that the trick to photography lies in having a great camera, but all a seasoned photographer really needs is an eye trained to capture emotion and - of course - a compelling subject matter.

Deviant Artist ZahirBatin combines the former with the unlikely latter of his Star Wars action figure collection.  By posing his action figures in a variety of situations - from the mundane to the tragic - he paints an almost Venture Brothers-esque picture of the life of a stormtrooper.

His full Toys Photography gallery needs to be browsed in full in order to be appreciated, and it's harder to say which photographs are better - the ones where he angles for comedy, or where he decides to go straight for the feels.

Whichever you prefer, there's no denying the sheer amount of talent that this guy has behind the lens - so take a few moments out of your Friday, browse through the gallery, and allow yourself to appreciate what a talented photographer can do with the most unlikely of subjects.

Then watch the video below, because - if you're anything like me - you were thinking of this clip from the very first picture.
